Overview Stillwater Campground is located 32 miles from Evanston, Wyoming, just off the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway at an elevation of 8,500 feet. The confluence of the Stillwater Fork and Hayden Fork is just outside the campground, providing great fishing opportunities. The byway cuts through the Uinta Mountains, which are known for their abundant recreational opportunities and scenic beauty. Recreation Fly-fishing for cutthroat and brook trout is a very popular activity on both the Stillwater and Hayden Forks. Numerous hiking, biking, horseback and off-road vehicle riding trails crisscross this beautiful region. Facilities The campground contains four group sites, three of which accommodate up to 50 people each; the fourth accommodates up to 25 people. These sites are equipped with large picnic tables, campfire circles and parking areas. Single-family sites are also available with picnic tables and campfire rings. A day-use picnic area is located at the end of the campground road. Vault toilets and trash collection are provided. Roads and parking spurs are dirt.
