Overview Threehorn campground is located near the Rogue-Umpqua Divide off the scenic road between Tiller and Trail Roads. Sitting at a higher elevation of 2,600 feet, this campground is shaded by an open stand of large pine and fir. Verdant stands of hemlock, fir and cedar transition to forests of mixed conifers and hardwoods at lower elevations, while alpine ecosystems dominate high peaks. The translation of the word "Umpqua," meaning "thundering waters," defines the area.
