St. Malo is a great family-oriented park, complete with two beaches, hiking and biking trails, and swimming opportunities. St. Malo Reservoir was created in 1958 by damming the Rat River - this was done to respond to concerns about the area's water supply. The establishment of the park, along with a beach and campground, followed two years later. Today, the popular campground is home to campsites that offer either electrical or basic service. Beach volleyball, boardsailing, canoeing, miniature golf, fishing, water fun rentals, playgrounds, and interpretive programming are also enjoyed by campers. Located in the Campground Biking, boat launch, boating (power boats are prohibited, electric motors only), firewood (available for purchase), fishing (license required), hiking, kiosk (campground office), modern washrooms, pay showers, picnic area and picnic shelter (near beach), pit privies, playground, swimming (2 unsupervised beaches), and water taps. Located in the Park Boating (power boats are prohibited, electric motors only), canoeing, convenience store (snack bar at main beach), dump station (near campground office), mini golf, rentals (canoe and paddle boat), and volleyball.
