Quetico, recognized as an International Dark Sky Park, is a renowned backcountry paddling destination which also features the Dawson Trail Campground located adjacent to Highway 11. The park offers backcountry and car camping, roofed accommodations, seasonal campsites, and day use opportunities. Dawson Trail Campground on French Lake has two campgrounds, Chippewa and Ojibwa, offering tent and trailer sites with some electrical and seasonal campsite options, three rustic cabins and two camping pods. Roofed accommodations are available year-round, with the Winter Retreat cabin being a short walk-in and the Ojibwa Cabin ski-in only during winter. The Chippewa Campground offers three electrical and two non-electrical tent and trailer sites rentals from January to March. Park amenities include water taps, comfort stations with showers and laundry facilities, playground, picnic shelter, fish cleaning building, trailer dump/fill station, park store with watercraft rentals (May to October), visitor centre, and park library. Discovery Programming is offered during summer months. Showers/flush toilets and water taps are unavailable in winter.
