Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park is 60,000 acres of majestic towering trees, rugged terrain, secluded lakes, spectacular waterfalls, pristine beaches and miles of wild rivers and streams. The park is located on the shores of Lake Superior in Michigan’s Western Upper Peninsula and offers numerous hiking, camping, mountain biking, fishing, hunting and photo opportunities. The park is open all year long and during the winter months still offers: lodging, interpretive programs, and outdoor recreation opportunities including, both cross-country and snowmobile trails, as well as downhill skiing.
