Overview Pine Flats group site is located next to the Mad River within the Pine Flats Campground, in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, on the Entiat Ranger District. Visitors have easy access to the Mad River trailhead which connects to several multiple-use trails. The campground contains two vault toilets, garbage service, and a hand pump for potable water. Recreation The campground offers great access to trail opportunities for hikers, horseback riders, mountain bikers and motorcyclists. The Lower Mad River Trailhead is located within the campground. The Mad River trail is 14-miles long and leads to the upper Mad River meadows area. Spring time wildflower viewing is a popular activity while hiking up the trail. Facilities The campground offers one group site, that is reservation only, and six first-come, first-served single sites. Each site contains a picnic table and campfire ring. Two vault toilets, garbage service, and a hand pump with potable water are provided during the main summer season. If the trash cans are full, please pack out any extra trash produced greater than what the cans can accommodate.
