On the shore of Lake Michigan, visitors to Mears State Park can spend the day relaxing with a book or enjoying the water at our third-of-a-mile long sandy beach. Kayaks and stand up paddle boards are available for rent in the Village of Pentwater. A short walk away, visitors can shop, dine or take in one of the many summer festivities in the Pentwater business district. At Mears State Park, the fun doesn't stop in the fall. Weather permitting, we're open for winter activities such as dog walking, cross country skiing/snowshoeing, and fishing in Pentwater Channel . We also boast the best sledding hill in the area!
