Marsh Lake Campground

Alaska Highway, YT, CA
Verified by agency

This popular campground and day-use area is close to Whitehorse, Yukon. The campground has multiple loops with many sites near the lake. A short trail and footbridge connects the campground to the Marsh Lake Recreation (Day Use) site which contains walk-in tenting sites, change rooms, a playground and access to the long, sandy beach. Both the Southern Tuchone and Tagish names, Tàkádàdhà* and Sāa Tl’áh Ni*, refer to the sandy beach. Nearby M’Clintock Bay (T’á Hîni Wát* in Tlingit) is an important spring rest stop for thousands of Trumpeter Swans and other waterbirds on their migration.
