This is a 48 acre park with beautiful sandy beach on the shore of Lake Michigan and the Grand River to the north. The park has 174 modern campsites on payment, a picnic area, and playground equipment. Adjacent to the park there is the pier, lighthouse, and boardwalk from the park into Grand Haven which are all big attractions. Metal detecting area. No dogs allowed at the beach. Grand Haven State Park has a beautiful sandy shore on Lake Michigan along the west side of the park and the Grand River along the north side of the park. The park consists entirely of beach sand and provides scenic views of Lake Michigan and the Grand Haven pier and lighthouse.
