Located at the intersection of the Carp and Ottawa Rivers about an hour outside of Ottawa, Fitzroy Provincial Park is ideal for families and those who love fishing. The Day Use area has a sandy beach, flush toilets, picnic tables, and plenty of parking. There is also a playground, volleyball court, and grassy field for soccer or frisbee in this area. The park store offers canoe, kayak, and paddle board rentals plus camping supplies, ice, firewood, groceries, and ice cream. Fitzroy also has two great hiking trails with interpretive brochures. The Discovery program is a great opportunity for the whole family to learn about the park's natural environment. Two campgrounds offer electrical, non-electrical, and waterfront sites. Two Rivers Campground has a small beach that is great for families with small children. The park has a group picnic site overlooking the upper Ottawa River.
