Overview Cassidy Bridge Primitive Camp is situated in the Andrew Pickens Ranger District in Oconee County in the western corner South Carolina. The camp sits on the Chauga River, with the Chattooga River a short drive away. Popular activities include hunting, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, whitewater rafting and sightseeing. Campers: Please remember to lock the gate after driving through, do not leave it unlocked. Thank you Recreation Big-game and turkey hunting are very popular activities in the area. The camp is also a favorite of groups who enjoy hiking, whitewater rafting and fishing. Facilities The campground is open free of charge during big game (October 1st - December 31) and turkey (April 1 - 30) hunting seasons. During the rest of the year, the camp is available for group reservations. Reservations can be made 12 months in advance. Amenities include a pit toilet and RV parking. Natural Features The camp is located in a wooded area on the banks of the Chauga River in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, a part of the Francis Marion and Sumter National Forests.
