Overview Canal Creek is a group campground where campers can truly get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse themselves in nature. The facility is comprised of two group campsites, each providing a tranquil, scenic setting. Recreation Canal Creek Group Site has a large open space that provides room for sports like soccer, Frisbee and football. Campers are encouraged to bring sports equipment, as none is provided. Other activities include fishing and crawfishing, hiking, tubing and swimming. Cutthroat trout inhabit Canal Creek. Facilities Canal Creek Group Site is accessed by fording the gentle creek. It has a large open field with a picnic shelter, tables and a campfire circle. The site accommodates up to 100 people and 20 vehicles. RVs are not recommended. Alsea Group Site is bordered by the creek. It is made up of 10 separate campsites surrounding a central dining area with tables and a campfire circle. The site accommodates up to 50 people and 10 vehicles. RVs are welcome. Vault toilets are provided, but no drinking water or electric hookups are available at either site.
